RW307 - Bonus - Under the Skin

In this episode of The Rewatch Podcast, Cory and Nathan try to figure out what's going on in Glasgow as they discuss "Under the Skin."

Trailer:

Our Favourite Trivia:

Director Jonathan Glazer decided to adapt Michel Faber's novel Under the Skin (2000) after finishing his debut film Sexy Beast (2000), but work did not begin until he had finished his second film, Birth (2004). Glazer's producer James Wilson sent him a script that closely adapted the novel; Glazer admired the script but had no interest in filming it, saying: "I knew then that I absolutely didn't want to film the book. But I still wanted to make the book a film."

The film took nearly ten years to be made, and one of the early drafts of the scripts included a Scottish married couple who were revealed to be aliens in disguise. Brad Pitt was, at the time, cast as one half of the couple.

Glazer shot commercials while the film was in pre-production, which he used to "sketch" ideas and test equipment. Under the Skin was jointly financed by Film4 Productions, the British Film Institute, Scottish Screen, Silver Reel, and FilmNation Entertainment. Glazer secured final backing after cutting the elaborate special effects scenes from the script.

Eva Green, Gemma Arterton, January Jones, Abbie Cornish and Olivia Wilde were considered to play the lead role. It was Scarlett Johansson who stayed on board for the project for four years before it reached completion.

As Glazer wanted the film to feel realistic, most characters were played by non-actors. Many scenes, such as those set in the nightclub and shopping centre, and the scenes in which Johansson's character picks up men in the van, were unscripted sequences filmed with hidden cameras. The production team would inform the subjects they had been filmed and ask permission to use the footage. Glazer said the men were "talked through what extremes they would have to go to if they agreed to take part in the film once they understood what we were doing"

The crew built their own cameras to shoot some scenes. Johansson drove the van with the crew inside, and towed a trailer containing a generator for their equipment. To create the black room in which the character traps men, the crew built a bespoke set with a reflective floor, blackout, and custom lighting. The actors were filmed walking into a pool whose floor sank as they walked, submerging them. The scenes were finished with computer graphics.

Adam Pearson, who plays the disfigured man who is lured into the vehicle, broke his leg when he was struck by a cab on his way to audition for his role. Director Jonathan Glazer auditioned him the next day at the hospital and gave him the job.

Jonathan Glazer did not want to use make-up for the man with neurofibromatosis. Adam Pearson was cast after the production team contacted Changing Faces, a charity supporting people with facial disfigurement. His ideas about how Scarlett Johansson's character could seduce his character were added to the script.

Scarlett Johansson did the nude scenes herself without the use of a body double.

The first proper line of dialogue happens 13 minutes into the film.

Championship motorcycle road racer Jeremy McWilliams was cast as the motorcyclist to handle the treacherous driving conditions of the Scottish Highlands.

A paparazzi still of Scarlett Johansson, in character, falling down became a wildly popular Internet meme in which users would Photoshop Johansson into various situations. As the scene was shot with hidden cameras, it was not until the movie's release that it was revealed the fall was intentional.

One of the locations where this film was shot was in the Robert Street area of Port Glasgow (where the second victim is lured). Filming had to be delayed for a number of days as there was a real-life murder in the next street prior to filming and the police had cordoned the area off.

Included among the "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die", edited by Steven Schneider.

RW306 - SeaQuest Rewatch S02E01 - Daggers

In this weeks episode of The SeaQuest Rewatch, Cory and Tom learn that everyone is created equal as they discuss season 2 episode 1, "Daggers."

Daggers:

Bridger reunites with his old crew members onboard the newly built and freshly commissioned SeaQuest and meets the new doctor, Doctor Wendy Smith who has a degree/interest in parapsychology as well and can also literally read people’s minds, and a Gelf janitor named Dagwood. Commander Ford has a run in with a fresh faced recruit named Henderson who eventually manages to sneak her favourite stuffed animal onboard past him. Another new addition to the crew is a former criminal named Piccolo, now on work release onboard the ship, who is found to have the ability to breathe underwater due to having received gills in a medical experiment.

While the boat begins filling up with crew members for its next tour of duty, a group of warrior beings called Daggers or as more civilised people refer to them, Gelfs, genetically engineered life forms created years before for the sole purpose of waging war, break free of their prison home, taking hostages in order to negotiate for their freedom, with several of them led by a Gelf woman named Mariah, leaving the prison to track down General Thomas who was the man responsible for their creation.

The SeaQuest receives a rescue signal and picks up Brody, a soldier stationed at the Gelf prison that escaped after their takeover and was one of the few officers there who actually treated the Gelfs as people as opposed to the prevailing attitude that they were anything but human.

Meanwhile the Gelf contingent that left the prison manages to infiltrate UEO headquarters and take General Thomas captive, using him to get control of a weapons satellite, which they then use to start destroying several of the planets oxygen creating generators, a necessity in the world where the rainforests have all been destroyed. With enough generators destroyed, humans would be unable to breathe, while the Gelfs, bred to survive with much less oxygen available, would survive.

Back at the prison complex, the Gelfs mange to intercept a communique ordering Bridger to destroy the colony, resulting in a Gelf woman who has given birth to a baby, sending the child away in a refuse chamber.  The SeaQuest finds the child and upon examination it’s revealed that the Gelf is actually more human than Gelf, the result of what the doctor calls spontaneous evolution, meaning that with less oxygen available, the baby will also die.Bridger manages to secure amnesty for the Gelfs and Mariah is seemingly placated but after their vid call ends, she immediately fires on another oxygen station, refusing to ever allowing her and her people to be imprisoned again. The Seaquest pursues her and manages to exhaust their weapons before Doctor Smith pleads with them to stop their attacks because doing so would kill the Gelf baby. Mariah refuses to believe her but Dagwood steps in and vouches for the humans, resulting in Mariah turning around and surrendering.

The majority of the Gelfs get their freedom, while Mariah and her contingent will have to serve time for breaking the law. Elsewhere on Seaquest Tim And Henderson have an underwear encounter in the laundry room, Lucas manages to beat Piccolo in a card game to win the top bunk in their quarters, and Bridger rewards Dagwood with an official officer's cap, cementing his important role on the Seaquest.

Send Out the WSKRS:

Peter Deluise is back but as a different character, Dagwood. We previously saw him as Wiggins in the episode “Whale Song.”

Piccolo is played by Michael Deluise. He played played Matt Wilson in Encino Man. He’s had recurring role in 21 Jump Street and Gilmore Girls, starred in a short lived sitcom called One Big Family and a short lived drama called Brooklyn South. He was also part of Wayne's crew in Wayne’s World.

Doctor Smith is played by Rosalind Allen. Aside from guest roles here and there, SeaQuest and Santa Barbara were her main two series. She did appear in Naked Gun 33 1/3 as Bobbi and was in an episode of Star Trek Next Generation called “The Outrageous Okona” that happened to also guest start Teri Hatcher (of Lois & Clark fame), Joe Piscopo (SNL) and Billy Campbell (The Rocketeer). He also made two appearances in Jon Erik Hexum’s post-Voyagers! show, Cover Up.

Brody is played by Edward Kerr. He’s had recurring roles on Pretty Little Liars, What I Like About You, and Three Sisters. He also had a lead role in a comedic detective series called Snoops.

Henderson is played by Kathy Evison who only has 9 roles to her name, Seaquest being her biggest one.

The main Daggers and/or Gelfs are Mariah, David, Matthew and Joseph. The actors have a small number of roles with Matthew (played by William Devry) having the most roles due to appearing in 581 episodes of General Hospital, 109 episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful and 79 episodes of All My Children. David (played by Spike Alexander) is next due to a number of voice projects, cartoons and video games. Mariah (played by Sam Jenkins, now Sam Sorbo) married Hercules himself, Kevin Sorbo. She still acts periodically.

DeNato is played by Larry Brandenburg, another "that guy." We've seen him in the Quantum Leap episode “A Leap For Lisa” as Commander Dobbs. He also played Detective Nunzio in The Santa Clause.

RW304 - Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

In this episode of the Bill & Ted Rewatch, Cory and Nathan embark on an unprecedented trip through time as they discuss "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure."

Trailer:

Our Favourite Trivia:

The screenplay was written by Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson in early 1987, based on a comedy stand-up routine they had performed while in college. Director Stephen Herek called the screenplay "incredibly laugh-out-loud", but recognized that because of some of the off-center humor targeting a specific audience, the film was "either going to be a huge hit or a huge flop". Herek stated that shopping the film for distributors was difficult; Warner Bros. want to produce it within a US$10 million budget, but could not figure out how to fund it. The film ended up being picked up by Dino de Laurentiis through the De Laurentiis Entertainment Group (DEG).

Bill and Ted began as a stand-up act, in which the characters would discuss current events without knowing what they were talking about. Originally, there was a third character named Bob, but the comedian who played him lost interest after a few performances.

Principal photography was completed in 1987, but the release was delayed because the film's original financiers, De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, went bankrupt. The film was in danger of being dumped onto cable television until Nelson Entertainment bought the rights to the movie in 1988, and it was released in 1989.

Originally as a spec script, the film had been called Bill & Ted's Time Van. While the core plot was similar, with Bill & Ted on the verge of failing their history class and threatening to ruin their idea of forming a band together, events in the spec script initiated when the pair had borrowed a van from their 28-year-old friend Rufus. While driving the van, they ended up in Nazi Germany, and after some hijinks, bring Adolf Hitler back to San Dimas in the present while they continue to collect other historical figures. Solomon affirmed this clearly became problematic, and Hitler was switched out with Napoleon in their final script. Other concepts in the spec script that were dropped included more involvement of Bill & Ted's classmates including having them travel in time with them, visiting Julius Caesar in the Roman Empire and ending up causing his death, and befriending a caveman in the prehistoric age to help him invent fire so that they could light up a joint. The van, originally to be a 1969 Chevrolet, was abandoned as being too close in concept to the DeLorean used in the Back to the Future trilogy. In earlier drafts of the script, other historical figures Bill and Ted plucked from history included Charlemagne (whom they referred to as "Charlie Mangay"), Babe Ruth, and a non-famous medieval person called "John the Serf". John is listed in the credits.

Then-upcoming actor Brendan Fraser and Pauly Shore auditioned for the roles of Bill and Ted respectively. They would star together three years later in Encino Man (1992).

Winter said of casting George Carlin as Rufus as a "very happy accident". The role of Rufus had not been established when filming started. Herek stated that their intention was to have Eddie Van Halen as Rufus, given the frequency of Van Halen references in the screenplay, but because of the low budget for the film, they could not get it to happen.

Initially, the film had ended with Bill & Ted giving their report within a small classroom, passing their class, and then going to the prom with the rescued princesses. The production team recognized this felt underwhelming, and created the larger auditorium presentation as to give a better sense of scale, with a sound and light show to make it more dramatic setting.

The initial cut of the film was 2 hours and 25 minutes long, and was pruned significantly. One such filmed scene was a lengthy choreographed song number that would have led off the film, starting with Bill & Ted dancing via air-guitaring on their way to school

There are seventy uses of "dude" throughout the movie, as well as thirty of "excellent".

The film takes place in 2688, May 1988, 1805, 1879, 410 B.C., the 15th Century, 1901, 1810, 1429, 1209, 1863 and 1,000,000 B.C.

The phone booth time machine in the film was given away as a contest prize in Nintendo Power magazine, as the magazine was promoting a then-new Bill and Ted game for the NES.

Alex Winter claimed that he gets two different letters from teachers - positive ones from history teachers for encouraging children to learn about history and the figures, and negative ones from English teachers for affecting the way students speak.

For years, Keanu Reeves lamented that his epitaph would be "Here lies Keanu Reeves. He played Ted."

In the film, Bill and Ted claim that they need Edward Van Halen in their band to make it better. After the film was released, he jokingly said he would have joined their band if they had asked.

What's Up Next?

Next week we continue this righteous quest with "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey."

RW303 - SeaQuest Rewatch S01E22-23 - Good Power

In this weeks episode of The SeaQuest Rewatch, Cory and Tom learn that running away never solves anything as they discuss season 1 episode 22 & 23 "The Good Death" and "Higher Power."

The Good Death:

The SeaQuest, in pursuit of a submarine full of smugglers, fires on said submarine only to discover it is actually inhabited by scores of children trying to flee the cruel dictator General Guzmano in the Amazonia Confederation. Leading the children is none other than Westphalen‘s daughter, Cynthia and her friend Malik.

The kids are taken aboard the SeaQuest but General Guzmano contacts Bridger asking for their return. When Bridger refuses, Guzmano begins firing depth charges to keep the crew from boarding the submarine. Luckily, the charges end up creating a huge mud cloud that provides a chance for the SeaQuest to hide and for the final rescue ship containing Ford, Shan, Westphalen, Cynthia, and Malik among others to get away, making an emergency surfacing, hoping to hide in the slums of the Amazonian Confederation, despite the fact that Cynthia was badly hurt during the escape and is in dire need of a hospital.

Meanwhile, Guzmano worries that when news of the escaped children gets out, their country will face embargoes and become vilified to the world when they testify to the horrors of his reign. While Guzmano’s second in command tries to reason with him into letting the children and SeaQuest go, the despot berates Miguel and remains unswayed, ordering him to find them.

Ford and Shan attempt to rob a pharmacy of the antibiotics needed to heal Cynthia, but are caught with Shan showing off his martial arts skills in order to save them. Back in the slums, a plan is concocted to use The Sisters of the Good Death as a cover to sneak the injured Cynthia and company out of the slums and back to the area where they landed so that they can be rescued.

The SeaQuest sends Ortiz and Malik to make their way into the slums to find their missing crew members with Ortiz making himself look and smell drunk because... reasons (?) and then after seeing that his crew mates have made it past Guzmano and crew, he runs back to get the boat ready while Malik remains to... tell the escapees to run toward the water while he stays and acts as a distraction.  Unfortunately, after the crew gets on the boat, Malik arrives too late as it motors away. Malik dives into the water but Guzmano and crew are too close and order him to stop and come out, but Darwin appears and drags him quickly under water, away from the soldiers and back to the safety of the boat. As the crew sails away they see Miguel being betrayed by Guzmano once again leaving the put upon general to take revenge by shooting his leader and covering it up as a suicide.

Back safe aboard the SeaQuest, Bridger informs Miguel that the children will stay with them and be taken to the United States where they will live their lives, perhaps someday returning to their birth land, but for now, they shall feast on ice cream!

Send Out the WSKRS:

Luis Guzman played Guzmano. He was a star of the 80’s and 90’s, mostly playing villains due to his physical appearance. He was in, arguably, one of the best episodes of Community called “Documentary Filmmaking: Redux.” He was also in Boogie Nights, Oz, The Count of Monte Cristo, Carlito’s Way, Keanu (Key and Peele) and Shameless more recently. Coming soon he’s playing a priest in a movie called Hold On about an aspiring and unlikely singer. He had a TV series of which 10 episodes were shot, with only 5 being aired before cancelation.

Miguel was played by Carlos Carrasco. He was in Speed and Crocodile Dundee 2 alongside Luis Guzman.

Obatu was played by Christopher M. Brown. He was also in the Quantum Leap episode “A Song For The Soul” as Raghead Teen #3.

Cynthia was played by Marianne Hagan. She starred in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. She’s had a few handfuls of other main roles and supporting roles. Her latest role was in We Only Know So Much as the Touchy Feely Woman.

Main Soldier (IMDb’s credit) was played by Lou Cass. Besides a small number of appearances, he was in something called Gay XXX Superstars of the 1980’s.

Higher Power:

The entire world takes a day off in order to allow Lucas’s father, Dr. Lawrence Wolenczak, to activate his worldwide free energy system harnessing the power of the ocean but small problems creep up right away that he writes off as expected issues they can maintain.

Meanwhile the crew of the SeaQuest is dealing with changes as their current tour onboard has ended with Hitchcock and Ford fielding offers for other commissions, Bridger and Westphalen having some final  dates together, and Crocker dealing with the news that his wife is leaving him due to his love of the sea as opposed to his marriage.

When all communications go dead, the crew activates the emergency communications band and discovers that something has gone wrong with Dr W’s project as a giant lava river has opened up all along the new ocean power turbines causing the water temperature to rise to an alarming amount that if left unchecked will cause the polar ice caps to melt and cause flooding worldwide.

Bridger orders all hands to abandon ship while Crocker goes to Dr W’s facility and rescues him along with his assistants. Bridger comes up with the plan to fire the SeaQuest’s nuclear weapons at the lava flow to close it up/prevent the continued flow/fix the problem because nuclear? He orders crocker, Dr W and his assistants to the launch craft to escape while he Ford and Shan activate the weapons and autopilot. As they leave for the launch the auto pilot malfunctions but Bridger sends everyone off while he turned to fix it.

The launch craft makes it safely to shore as a giant explosion rocks the ocean, saving the world. As the crew mourns the loss of the SeaQuest and their captain, Bridger suddenly appears riding the stinger, rejoining his crew.

As the crew continues to figure out what they will do next, most notably Krieg looking at a fast food manager job and Ford trying to nicely reject offers for a position in the Air Force, Lucas bids goodbye to his father and then rejoins Bridger to discuss the minor problem of building a new boat.

Send Out the WSKRS:

This episode was originally known as "An Ocean on Fire", but was ultimately changed to "Higher Power" prior to airing.

Lawrence Walenczak (Lucas’ Dad) was played by Kristoffer Tabori and we’ve seen him in the Sliders episode “Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome” as Doctor Whelan and in the Quantum Leap episode “One Strobe Over The Line” as Byron (an exec working with the head of the models). Today, he mostly just does voice projects, having done work for video games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Spider-Man.

Jordan was played by Patricia Harty who we saw in Quantum Leap episode “Sea Bride” as the mother of Catherine Farrington.

Jill Engels played Helen Crocker and her only other credit is as Trudy from Twin Peaks.

Captain Calvin Shelley was played by Charles Cyphers, a true “that guy”. In Sliders he played the Coach in the episode “Eggheads,” and in Lois and Clark he was Thaddeus Roarke in “Honeymoon In Metropolis.” He also played Sheriff Brackett in Halloween (1978) and is set to return for next years Halloween Kills.

The song that plays over the volleyball scene is Mahalia Jackson’s Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen.

RW302 - SeaQuest Rewatch S01E20-21 - Abalon Great

In this weeks episode of The SeaQuest Rewatch, Cory and Tom breath the alien waters as they discuss season 1 episode 20 & 21 "Abalon"  and "Such Great Patience."

Back in the MagLev:

This week, we looked deeper into Bob Ballards history in 1966 and 1969. We think the numbers on VidCom Screens relates to certain moments in his professional career.

Abalon:

While Lucas lies to Bridger about going to a conference so he can actually go to a party hoping to have some time with his one time love Juliana, Ford is forced into shore leave after experiencing what may have been hallucinations of a mermaid while he was testing deep sea mining equipment.

A man unaccustomed to free relaxation time, Ford tries to chill as best as he can but when he sees a woman in the bar that looks exactly like the one he saw swimming underwater without any type of swimming apparatus or equipment, he approaches her, trying to strike up a conversation until she runs off towards the ocean. Ford follows and sees her attacked by two men and jumps into the fray to give her time to escape but unfortunately gets knocked out and dragged into the ocean depths below by them.
Meanwhile, Lucas, who at first was put off by Julianna when she kissed a guy at the party, finds out it was actually just her brother who was sent with her to watch out for her. Juliana and Lucas reconnect and make plans for some private time so that they can go “all the way.”

Ford awakens in the undersea lab of Abalon, a man who faked his own suicide decades earlier after his experiments in underwater breathing were outlawed. Over the years in secret he managed to implant gills into humans so that they could survive underwater and plans on operating on Ford next.

Upworld, as Bridger and company search for Ford, the woman that Ford saves introduces herself to them as Mika and helps them find Ford, taking them to Abalon’s secret hideaway. Bridger, seeing Ford encased in a glass tube full of water, breaks the glass and a fight ensues that is stopped by Abalon himself when he orders his sons to stop fighting and allows the crew to leave with Mika and Ford. Later, as Ford recovers, Mika reveals her gills and fin enhanced body and Ford offers to take her out someday to the ballet.

Back at the party, which is promptly broken up by the police, Lucas and Juliana come to the decision that neither of them is ready to go “all the way” as Juliana’s brother busts into the room and kicks Lucas out, who gets pulled over for reckless driving in The Stinger on his way back to the SeaQuest. After returning home, Bridger grounds Lucas from the stinger and offers some advice on carrying protection.

Send Out the WSKRS:

Felicity Waterman played Mika in this episode. She played Dana in a movie called Miracle Beach with Dean Cain, Alexis Arquette and Pat Morita; a guy in California gets a genie (named Jeannie) for no real reason and falls in love with her while pursuing a “babe” he likes. She was an alternate to be cast in the lead for the TV series La Femme Nikita but the role was given to Peta Wilson. However, she did a guest appearance in the pilot episode. She was also in the movie’s Die Hard 2 and Lena’s Holiday, and appeared on shows such as Knots Landing, Ellen, Northern Exposure, Baywatch Nights and Weird Science. Her last credit was for 22 episodes of a series called Pensacola: Wings of Gold in 1999-2000. She’s also appeared in a number of movies that require her to be in a Bikini on the posters, notably the TV show Thunder in Paradise starting Terry Hulk Hogan and a bunch of his wrestler friends.

Lucas (Jonathan Brandis) mentions The Sanger Institute in this episode. This is likely a shout out to series director Jonathan Sanger. There is, however, a Wellcome Sanger Institute. According to their website, they “lead ambitious collaborations across the globe to provide the foundations for further research and transformative healthcare innovation.”

The traffic Cop was played by Rick Fitts. He’s still a working character actor. We’ve seen him in the Lois and Clark episode “All Shook Up” as Frank Madison. He was also in a soap opera that ran for two years called Generations about two families, one black and one white.

The other cop was Fitz Houston, another working character actor.  We saw him in the Quantum Leap episode “Honeymoon Express” as the “Black Senator.”

Dustin Nguyen played Chief William Shan, one of Crocker’s men. He is best known as Officer Harry Truman Ioki on 21 Jump Street. He’s currently working as a director and producer mainly with Vietnamese company Dreamscape DBS. He was also in the new movie 22 Jump Street as Vietnamese Jesus.

Andrew Wasser was Biff, Lucas’s friend. There isn’t too much notable but he did make a guest appearance on 90210 which was incidentally written under his name on the VidCom.

Rob Youngblood played Kaman and we saw him in Sliders twice. Once he was the Sheriff in “Paradise Lost” and then he was Keeper James in “The Great Work.”

Matthew Sheenan played Shapra. He also played Kevin Wenthworth in the Quantum Leap episode “Raped.” His only other credit is Blue Skies Are A Lie, a 1995 comedy drama movie.
Gustavo Perez is credited as Arab Prince. Not sure where that was.

Charlton Heston is Abalon! Nuf' said...

Such Great Patience:

As the Seaquest observes tectonic plate shifts deep below, multiple crewmen report having headaches that seem to be related to a recurring high frequency sound in the area. Darwin is also affected as he keeps repeating random words rather than his usual speech patterns. Suddenly, one shift reveals an alien spacecraft from almost 1 million years ago resulting in a team of SeaQuest’s finest, led by astronaut Scott Keller travel to the ship to investigate.

The team, consisting of Keller, O'Neill and Krieg soon come upon an alien with a threatening device on its wrist capable of quickly vaporizing anything, as chief Crocker finds out himself when he follows the team into the ship to find out why their communications went down, and ends up confronting another similar alien who attacks with the weapon.
Back in the SeaQuest, after Bridger defies several orders from his higher ups to attack and destroy the vessel, the team’s launch ship returns but without the crew aboard. Instead they discover that another alien member of the space ship piloted the craft back and is now moving around the ship at super fast speeds, attacking crew members, and finally stopping in Lucas’s quarters where he had been working on a way for Darwin to communicate with the aliens.

With the help of the professor, the crew determines that the aliens use their science to project a holographic image in order to travel around the ship. Bridger asks Darwin to communicate to the aliens that they are all friends and the alien smiles, understanding. After the alien projection returns to its ship, the rest of the crew on board the spacecraft make their way back to SeaQuest, quickly followed by the return of the crew mates that were thought to have been killed but instead were transported away and now transported back.

Bridger holds a meeting of the senior officers and they decide to not reveal the aliens home galaxy to the UEO, and instead send a message of friendship to the alien’s homeworld, hoping they will come to earth and seek out the SeaQuest.

Send Out the WSKRS:

The alien was played by Karyn Malchus. Besides playing Headless Billy Butcherson in Hocus Pocus, she returns in season 2.

Next up, we'll be discussing the final eps of season 1, “The Good Death” and “Higher Power.”
